As a passionate advocate for gender diversity, Alexandra is deeply passionate about not only promoting gender diversity but also coaching women to shine in leadership roles.
She has consistently sought to elevate and support women across industries, particularly in tech and financial services.
Alexandra holds a certificate in women’s executive leadership from Yale University School of Management, achieving top marks. When she entered the corporate world, she was inspired to write her book Confessions from the Cubicle to highlight the unique challenges young women face in corporate environments.
One of Alexandra's key contributions has been co-founding Better and Stronger Allies Together, an initiative designed to bring male allies into the conversation to actively close the gender gap. This initiative, launched by Arctiq and the UOttawa, reflects Alix’s belief in the power of collaborative change.
Working with her client Red Hat Canada, Alexandra has focused on concrete actions to support gender diversity, such as launching the highly successful Women + Leadership event in 2017. This annual event is not only sold out each year but it also attracts top D&I thought leaders, fostering a thriving community of over 500 leaders dedicated to meaningful diversity conversations.
Red Hat Canada proudly sponsors Toronto Metropolitan University's Women in Information Technology Management (WITM) where Alexandra has had the pleasure of working with the young leaders, sharing her expertise and coaching the students.
Recently, Alexandra joined the Microsoft Women’s Partner Council where she is focused on transforming hiring practices, mentorship, and advocating for flexible work environments. She has profiled these efforts in media outlets like IT World Canada, continuing to provide visibility and thought leadership on women’s issues.
Alexandra is deeply passionate about not only promoting gender diversity but also coaching women to shine in leadership roles. She finds great joy in helping emerging female leaders confidently take the stage, share their knowledge, and express their passion. She coaches women to find their voice, whether through public speaking, thought leadership, or engaging audiences with their expertise. Her hands-on approach allows them to guide women in presenting themselves with confidence and clarity, creating opportunities for female leaders to thrive.
Alexandra's extensive experience as a corporate communicator and strategist has allowed her to build powerful platforms for promoting gender diversity, such as writing content for her clients for The Globe and Mail's Leadership Lab and supporting female thought leaders through high-impact content strategies.
